I’m a Ph.D. student in the Experimental Psychology program at ISU, with a research focus on the Cognitive Neuroscience of Music.

My underlying interests are in:
  1. Investigating how atonal and Nontraditional tuning frameworks shape auditory prediction and perceptual learning.
  2. Understanding how rhythmic complexity and resolution of harmonic tension, attention, and memory are.
  3. Identifying how the brain’s error-detection and adaptive control systems respond to uncertainty in music.
I employ EEG and fNIRS to investigate how the brain adapts to complex and unpredictable microtonal and rhythmic input, and how these processes reveal its reliance on the brain's predictive coding and metacognitive monitoring.
