Andrew E Silva, PhD

Lab Director and Assistant Professor

I obtained my PhD in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience.
My underlying interests are in:
  1. Investigating how information from our senses is used to construct our perceptual experiences.
  2. Understanding how our sensory perceptions impact other aspects of our day-to-day experiences.
  3. Understanding the ways in which our day-to-day experiences impact how the brain constructs our sensory perceptions.
I explore questions relevant to a range of groups, including clinical populations, neurodivergent populations, and neurotypical populations.

I encourage any undergraduate or graduate students interested in doing research into related topics to reach out and chat about any openings in the lab.
